Included in this issue are congratulations to a young man who completely shatters
the stereotype of youthful, African-American males.  Spiritually grounded by loving
but no nonsense parents and driven to excellence in all that he seeks, Toirréy
Warren has truly made us proud.

Our pride intensifies at the party for Marine Corporal Eaven Lockhart, not long ago
a high school graduate, but now a part of this country’s first line of defense.

We are honored to congratulate Todd Leonhardt not just for his basketball talents,
but for traveling to Belize and becoming a positive influence in America’s unofficial
“foreign policy.”

Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing our more “mature” subjects celebrate 90
years of productive life.  The examples set by Melvin Magwood and Lucille Grier are
truly roadmaps for us all.

Small Business is well represented in this issue with three dynamic young ladies,
geographically close and with common bonds that include worshipping at the same
church.  Their innovative spirits deserves praise, and as thoughtful and discerning
consumers, we owe ourselves a visit to their diverse businesses.

From the other side of the country, we are thrilled to “visit” Tacoma, Washington.
There we find Ron Stephens, Tacoma’s first African American Fire Chief.  Although
not personally known by us, he is both well-known and highly respected by his
peers, his community, and the media.  To him we offer our congratulations for his
personal and professional achievements, and for the life-changing legacy he is
creating for others.  He truly represents what VISIONS is about.

These stories and others, along with our advertisements of high quality products
and services, make complete this issue and hopefully add value to the lives of our
readers.

Thank you for being one of those readers.  We look forward to telling your story.
As we have stated many times before, this is YOUR newsletter.  Without good and
positive news from you, we would have nothing worth writing or reading.  You are

informative reading.  Please contact us by e-mailing us at
