CONGRATULATIONS
Tiajma Poindexter
Nine year-old Tiajma Poindexter has recently distinguished herself in
cheerleading. During Thanksgiving Weekend, she and members of the
cheerleaders for The Wildergrove Wildcats (From Raleigh, North Carolina)
won first place in competition in Charlotte, North Carolina. That win earned
them a trip to Orlando, Florida and Disney World for additional competition.
Despite tough competition in Florida, the Wildcats finished 4th out of 19
teams. The competition is expected to be televised on ESPN, though the
exact date and time has not yet been announced. As soon as we receive
additional information, it will be posted on the web site.
Tiajma is the daughter of Mark and Eboni Poindexter, the granddaughter of
Arthur and Doris Hunt and great granddaughter of Willie and Sarah Vinson
(both deceased). She is in the 4th grade “magnet” program at Hunter
Elementary School in Raleigh, North Carolina.
