CONGRATULATIONS . . .






















. . . to senior baseball player Doug Holmes III who recently signed a national
letter of intent to continue his academic and baseball careers at Ohio University
in Athens.

Doug is the son of Douglas Holmes and Evelyn Holmes.  Doug is a left-handed
outfielder whose impressive statistics include 24 runs scored, 18 RBI’s, 16 walks,
eight stolen bases and a .367 average.  His 29 hits include five doubles, two
home runs and one triple.  He also had a .510 on base percentage.

Doug made the All-Western Reserve Conference first team as a junior.  He is a
two-year letter winner in basketball.

“Doug is an extremely quick and talented young man,” said tigers head coach
Don Jones.  “He has a tremendous future if he continues to work as hard as he
has.  Doug has excellent character and is a very fine young man.  He has been
a great addition to our program.”
