Take Action! It’s Never too Late to Change Your Life.

“The great end of life is not knowledge but action…” - Thomas Huxley
The world doesn’t reward us for what we know; it rewards us for what we do.
Therefore, we must continually take advantage of educational opportunities, learn
about and use current technology, and continually improve and expand our
personal network. For those that are in control of their own destiny, and those
that want to change their life, for the better, action is the key.
On any given day by the coffee pot in most offices across America lies an expert
that is starving even though he knows exactly what to do. He knows absolutely
everything about everything yet never makes a dime. He is very quick to offer
unsolicited advice to anyone that will listen yet he doesn’t produce. People like
this should listen to and heed Thomas Huxley’s words of wisdom, “Knowledge
might be power, but only when you take action”. The key is to DO something to
improve and change your life; not just talk about it. Put your coffee down and get
to work! Go to work, working on you; by taking advantage of educational
opportunities, learning and using current technology, and expanding your
personal network.
Reference taking advantage of educational opportunities and expanding your
personal network; did you take advantage of the “FREE” consulting / coaching
opportunity offer in the last issue of VISIONS? (Shhh, word has it that the
consulting / coaching offer is still available. See the last issue of VISIONS for the
particulars.) Have you purchased your copy of Henry Ford’s book “The Power of
Association”? (The book is still available; don’t miss your chance to get a copy.)
It seems like technology is taking over the world. Cell phones and computers are
quickly becoming smaller. You hear non-stop talk about the new iPod or iphone.
CD’s are quickly becoming a thing of the past, replaced by MP3’s. Phone calls are
being replaced by text messaging. As you can detect, technological change is
everywhere, and this is most evident in the fact that more and more people than
ever are connected to the Internet. Are you taking advantage of it?
I will be the first to say that success in life isn’t easy but it is simpler than you
think. Just take massive action to improve your life every day. When you try
something and it doesn’t work, change your strategy. (In the words of Willie Jolley,
“A setback is only a setup for a comeback.”)
In closing, Yesterday is a cancelled check; Tomorrow is a promissory note; Today
is the only cash you have – spend it wisely; by (1) taking advantage of educational
opportunities, (2) learning and using current technology, and (3) expanding your
personal network.

Publisher’s Note: Once again, a BIG THANK YOU to Willie Johnson for unselfishly sharing his expertise with VISIONS Readers, and for offering even more. The first paragraph of Willie’s article explains why he is able to inspire and coach others. That paragraph summarizes what he so thoroughly goes on to explain. Willie is not sharing “rocket science” or creating lengthy explanations.
Once again, “Truth crushed to the earth, shall rise again.” If we keep on doing what we’ve been doing, we will keep on getting what we’ve been getting. Are you satisfied with what you are getting from life?
