Family Reunion
Try it, you may like it!
High on our list of vacations is my annual Family Reunion, and I am so happy
it is. The last weekend in July found us in a Huntsville, Alabama enjoying
“cool” (for Alabama) temperatures in the high eighties and low nineties.
According to the local weather stations, we slipped in and out of town at the
appropriate times.
The reunion was sponsored by the former Buffalo, New York Chapter, which
consisted of one powerful and persistent young lady that currently lives near
Huntsville, assisted by family members throughout the country.
It was an inspiring weekend that exceeded our greatest expectations, with
over 250 people in attendance in a state not considered to be centrally
located to the majority of the family. Obviously the rewards we’ve
experienced of coming together, getting to know each other, and enjoying
each other far outweighed the challenges of expense and distance.
